Amergis Client Management Specialist in Columbia, Maryland

The Client Management Specialist audits processes and system set up. The role supports the Reimbursement team through reporting, system management, open credit and unapplied research. The Client Management Specialist also takes appropriate action to resolve process inefficiencies and inaccurate client setup as identified through their reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a positive influence and role model on the team. Contributes to team morale and success

  • In collaboration with management helps identify and resolve processes

  • Maintains and publishes process documentation

  • May assist with training staff members

Reimbursement:

  • Researches open credits and unapplied payments to determine status, and take appropriate action such as sales adjustments and refunds

  • Supports Reimbursement Specialist regarding open credits and unapplied payment questions

  • Contacts payers to obtain appropriate information for refunds

  • Audits Reimbursement Specialist procedures and processes

  • Prepares and publishes reporting for un-posted cash, payment coding and audits results

  • Handles live check deposits for staffing

  • Reviews weekly posting of open credits and unapplied payments

Client Management:

  • Audits company setup in eRecruit’s Middle Office, and take necessary steps to complete or correct inaccurate information

  • Contacts clients to obtain Key Invoice data and update Processing Profiles as necessary

  • Reviews contract requirements and publish Billing Requirement reports for Reimbursement team

  • Prepares enterprise and rebate reporting as contractually required; monthly, quarterly and annually

  • Monitors and responds to Client Management ticket queue

  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent required

  • Two (2) years of experience in Accounts Receivables within a healthcare or insurance environment preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities

  • Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well both as part of a team and independently
