As part of the Americas Global Finance Operations (GFO), join the Accounts Payable team at Medtronic.This position will report to the Accounts Payable Sr Manager and will provide systems support by actively leading and executing projects within the Accounts Payable value stream, including Kofax, SAP, ReadSoft, and ServiceNow.This role will also provide governance, leadership and expertise to Accounts Payable Shared Services Centers, Global hubs and Local finance teams using detailed system, policy and accounting knoweldge.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Onboard acquisitions and system integrations of medium to large scope into the SAP ReadSoft module, ensuring an adequate recognition of financial transactions and alignment into global standard processes.
Manage and continuously improve processes on behalf of the Accounts Payable Global Process Owner and Accounts Payable Sr Manager.Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Support deployment of new technologies and processes within Accounts Payable GFO.
Responsible for requirements gathering, identifying gaps, and providing solutions while maintaining global standard data requirements and process adherence.
Conduct conversion validation and end-user testing prior to implementation of system enhancements.
Provide day-to-day systems support for the GFO organization and its internal customers.
Deliver training to newly integrated entities on the SAP ReadSoft module and GFO processes.
Develop and deliver departmental communications to impacted stakeholders.
Provide guidance and training to Accounts Payable Shared Services Center, Global Hub and Local Finance teams with regard to Medtronics Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and global processes.
Provide leadership and expertise inaccounting and finance activities associated with complex matters requiring escalated support.
Execute and maintain global SOX controls established on account payables processes.
Provide internal and external audit support.
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close through completion and accumulation of various reports, schedules and tasks, including ad-hoc requests.
Perform G/L support and financial analysis for special projects upon request.
Participate in integration project travel, approximately 10% of the time.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 8+ years)
Nice to Have
SAP or other ERP systems experience, accounts payable module preferred
Advanced Excel, including macros and common functions
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels and across the organization
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
MBA or other Masters Degree.
Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Working knowledge of Power BI reporting systems
Previous experience in financial close process
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and changing environment
Excellent change management skills
Ability to manage through ambiguity
Demonstrated decision making skills
Ability to influence without authority
Preferably in a large, multi-national organization.
