Northwest Animal Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team. Education and/or Experience, and a dedicated interest in a career in the veterinary field a must. MUST be available Saturdays 7am -3 pm, Sundays from 9am to 1pm, Fridays, 7 am to 6 pm. Other weekdays we can offer flexibility in schedule.

This position pays $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. The successful candidate will be reliable, dependable, comfortable with client interaction and communication and education. They will take direction well and thrive in a fast paced, supportive, busy environment.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

• Filling prescriptions.

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.

• Animal Husbandry

• Cleaning and Houskeeping and Hospital Maintenance.

• Walking and feeding animals

• Any other duties throughout the hospital as needed and at the direction of the Leadership team.
