Position Overview
Seeking Systems Engineers for the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Develops requirements and standardizes processes
Responsible for developing processes, aids in process mapping to ensure standardized and repeatable best practices
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications
Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (+ varying years of related experience depending on Junior, Mid, and Senior Level position)
Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience sustaining Ground-Based Radar systems (GBRs), or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS
Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) mission and associated enterprise
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and resolve gaps
Experience maintaining national security mission networks
Education/Experience
