Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Senior System Engineer position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will provide server support focusing on design, specification, integration and implementation of enterprise-wide, large-scale data center server architecture operating on complex distributed networks with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures.
Compensation Minimum: $135,000
Compensation Maximum: $145,000
Job Requirements:
Skills / Experience Required Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) 5+ years of hands-on professional experience as Senior Cyber Engineer & Cyber Lead for program/project of similar size and scope 3+ years of hands-on professional experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) 3+ years of experience as Senior Systems Engineer supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope Enterprise Server services will support the following policies and technologies: Microsoft Windows server architectures Red Hat Linux server architectures VMware vSphere architectures Nutanix architectures Microsoft SQL server architectures including always on clusters Infrastructure as a service Platform as a service Server and application provisioning through automation Multi-tenancy server environments Server disaster recovery Applying Security Technical Impleme ntation Guides (STIGs) Minimum Certifications Required: MCTS/MCSA or Linux+ or RHCSA Enterprise EUC services will support the following policies and technologies: VMware ESXi 8, vCenter, vCloud, Horizon View, App Volumes, and ThinApps. Desktop (client) hardware including VMs, thin clients, Teradici based zero clients, small form factor PCs and blade workstations Windows OS for Desktop Enterprise Versions Virtual desktops, storage environments and remote desktop solutions Server disaster recovery Enterprise application thin-app packaging processes, distribution of thin-apps and associated best practices Desktop pools, Personal Computer over Internet Protocol (PCoIP) technologies, thin- printing, linked and full clone implementations Citrix Desktop as a Service (Daas) VMware View architecture components (connection server, agent, client, and composer) Securing virtual machines a nd disaster recovery planning Persona management Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Minimum Certifications Required: Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) Windows Engineer services will support the following policies and technologies: Physical and Virtual environment and tools Windows Client/Server architecture, deployment, configuration and management High Availability, diagnostics, capacity management and performance tuning Modern server architecture technologies Monitoring and problem resolution Configuration and management Optimization and resource management Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Minimum Certifications: Server+ or better Storage Engineering Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Education / Certifications Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field Possess IAT/IAM Level III CASP+CE or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP (or Associate) or GCED or GCIH or CCSP Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Paid Paternal leave Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance
