Linquest Corporation Software Support Specialist in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description

The GIANT team is looking for talented and motivated professionals to advance the state of the art of Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) modeling and simulation (M&S). The Global Position System (GPS) Interference And Navigation Tool (GIANT) is employed by engineers and operators throughout the US DoD and by our allies to design, test, train, and operate both current and future PNT capabilities in realistic, challenging Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) scenarios. As a Software Support Specialist, you will join a fast-paced agile team to support users of the GIANT software. Members of this interdisciplinary team collaborate to deliver a complete software capability, covering everything from working with customers to define an operational need through deployment, testing, and training, to enable our warfighters to fight through a contested environment.

As a Software Support Specialist, you will support users with analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving user’s questions and issues with the GIANT software, coordinating and providing user based training, and supporting the engineering team in the development of software to predict the performance of current and future GPS and other PNT sensors in operational scenarios. As part of the QA team, you will also support the development and documentation of test plans, reports, and automation scripts. Execute and monitor testing to identify and document software defects.

Responsibilities:

  • Document and respond to user support requests, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve user’s questions and issues.

  • Serve as a training instructor for the software and support curriculum development and maintenance

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans and reports

  • Collaborate with systems engineers and subject matter experts to identify and resolve software defects

  • Assist test team in building test automation suite

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer support and Troubleshooting experience

  • Training instructor/teaching experience

  • Experience testing software and automating test

  • Some travel is required (10%)

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required for the position

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working as a member of an agile software development team (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

  • Experience with Robot Framework or other test automation framework

  • Experience working with the GPS Interference And Navigation Tool (GIANT)

  • Experience working with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Global Positioning System (GPS), GLONASS, or Galileo

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline

Compensation: Starting salary ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
