Hiring Mechanical Assemblers in Colorado Springs, CO

Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling Vacuum Pump Systems at floor and Abatement stations. Your tasks will include testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. You will use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications and identify and repair units that fail tests or tolerance levels.

Shift & Pay

$18-20 per hour based on experience

Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Some overtime on Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Vacuum Pump Systems at floor and Abatement stations.

• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.

• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.

• Identify and repair units that fail tests or tolerance levels.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2-5 years of experience in a mechanical field or related area.

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic math skills.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Experience with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.

• Passing a mechanical aptitude test.

• ASE certification is a plus.

• Experience in plumbing, drilling, screwing, taping, electrical wiring, pipe-bending, mechanical or cable assembly preferred.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to take initiative.

Work Environment

This role is based in an indoor, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Employees must be able to stand or sit for 8+ hours per day and perform tasks that include bending, twisting, squatting, turning, and using hand or power tools. Safety consciousness and awareness of surroundings are essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
