As a Supported Employment Job Coach Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with developmental disabilities as they pursue and maintain employment. You'll work closely with clients to assess their strengths, create individualized employment plans, and offer hands-on guidance in job tasks and social interactions. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and skilled in empowering others to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Duties and Responsibilities -Develop personalized employment plans for clients based on their unique strengths, goals, and ambitions. -Work side-by-side with clients on-site to teach job tasks and help them develop necessary skills. -Communicate with clients regularly about their career goals, aspirations, and personal barriers, providing support to help them overcome challenges. -Assess clients' strengths and guide them in using these effectively within the workplace. -Assist with social skill-building and life skills to ensure successful workplace integration. -Advise clients and employers on appropriate workplace accommodations to support clients' needs. -Keep accurate records of client progress and prepare detailed reports to document achievements and areas of development.
Minimum Qualifications -Associate degree or higher (or currently pursuing a degree). -Proficient in Microsoft Office, with skills in creating and editing documents, including resumes. -Strong communication skills, with the ability to read and write proficiently. -Internet-savvy and able to utilize online resources to support client needs. -Patience, empathy, and a collaborative mindset, with a commitment to client success and team goals. -Dependable and consistent in attendance and task follow-through. -Ability to adhere to company standards and relevant regulations in a professional setting. -Must be able to pass a drug test (to include marijuana).
