Description:

The Information Technology Lead will support the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) program across multiple operating locations, to include Colorado Springs, the National Capital Region, and other CONUS locations as required. The qualified applicant will evaluate business practices and processes, quantify information management needs, identify opportunities to streamline operations with enhanced information technology (IT) tools and practices, evaluate and recommend solutions, and design and lead actualization of an improved information management architecture. The applicant will be responsible for coordinating and integrating the activity and outputs of multiple projects within the program. Implementing IT solutions to enable more efficient administration of functions such as personnel management, product development, project management, knowledge management, and operational tools/ticketing solutions for the mid-sized organization. The applicant will have experience in team collaboration, data center design, cloud architecture, and cross-functional integration of team members. Innovation, communication, organizational skills, and a problem-solving attitude are key.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership with expertise and advice for planning, execution, and management of the program’s information technology resources across many IT disciplines including Logistics, Cybersecurity, Operations, Service Desk, Networking, Data Center, and Cloud Management

  • Evaluate opportunities/risks and make comprehensive recommendations for information technology systems including operational improvements and enhancements

  • Collaborate with functional team leads to identify, evaluate, and refine core business operations, information, and processes to apply industry best practices

  • Identify information management requirements and develop associated roadmap and deliverables as well as implementation strategies to improve performance and efficiency across the organization

  • Understand on-premises data center and cloud technologies to support architecture design, optimization, and deployment discussions

  • Research and suggest process improvements, database products, hardware/software solutions, services, and protocols to best serve the needs of the organization

  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis to determine best approach for implementing process and information management solutions

  • Present recommendations to leadership for detailed decision making

  • Oversee team performance, reliability and resolve issues as they arise

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have expert knowledge of DoD, National and applicable service and agency IT security policy, manuals and standards

  • Knowledgeable in Special Access Program IT Policy and familiar with the JSIG (Joint SAP Implementation Guide)

  • Experience leading complex IT Teams, encompassing Systems Architectures, IT Operations for Tier I/II Support, Cybersecurity, and C2S Solutions

  • Knowledgeable regarding requirements and drivers affecting the selection or design and implementation of information architectures

  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional technical teams to develop requirements and implement solutions to meet their needs

  • Familiar with IT business process design, evaluation, and improvement

  • Quarterly travel within CONUS locations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Active or ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

  • Ability to obtain a CI Poly within 6 months of start date

  • TS/SCI eligible

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 30 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
