This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

The Opportunity

Join our growing team as a Financial Crimes Reporting Analyst Senior. Our mission is to empower, educate, and advocate for our members while enhancing their ability to protect themselves against fraud and scams. As a Financial Crimes Reporting Analyst Senior, you will play a key role in shaping, executing, and monitoring the project portfolio management and reporting, collaborator communications and closing package and artifact delivery. This role will be responsible for reporting to senior leadership on key deliverables and achievements for fraud-based programs, projects, and initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Facilitates business projects of high complexity, size and visibility ensuring collaborators champion decision making data needs.

  • Leads or directs the design, development and implementation and provides oversight of the maintenance of complex and sometimes unique business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.

  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to Lead or direct complex and sometimes unique data manipulation using sophisticated data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.

  • Recognizes the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.

  • Develops innovative reporting and story-telling approaches to address business problems and solutions.

  • Responsible for ensuring operational reports are complete, provide accurate data, and in compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Coordinates inputs from multiple sources, synthesizes data / information and creates qualitative commentary gathering key messages.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years of experience in data analysis/extraction, statistics, data management, analytics and/or data reporting.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Advanced knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques and ability to use SQL and/or Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.

  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance, risk management, and data security frameworks.

  • Experience in creating automated reports and interactive visualizations using tools such as Python and Tableau.

What sets you apart:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and execute among cross-functional teams, including all levels of the organization and with external regulatory agencies.

  • Experience with KPI Monitoring and Reporting, Project Portfolio Management & Reporting; Stakeholder Communications

  • Experience in regulatory environments assembling closing packages & artifact delivery for major projects.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulatory, compliance, industry regulations and regulatory data source related to fraud and/or financial crimes.

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $109,130-$208,580 .

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
