The Asset Management Facility Infrastructure Assessor is responsible for performing facility/infrastructure condition assessments (FCAs) for government and commercial clients on an as-requested basis at client sites in Alaska. A FCA is an asset inspection and engineering analysis of the level of maintenance and history, failure trends, root cause analyses, and work requirements to be accomplished that establishes the physical and mechanical condition of an asset. Clients use the FCA as a planning tool for short and long-term budget requests. Tetra Tech is seeking assessors qualified to assess electrical, mechanical, fire protection, exteriors including roofs, interiors, and other facility systems, as well as linear utility systems, stormwater, wastewater, water, electrical, natural gas, pavement, steam, or compressed air. Responsibilities: The Asset Management Facility Infrastructure Assessor will play a key role in supporting asset management and facility infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist Project Managers in obtaining and assisting new clients and with planning and design of projects for a variety of municipal, state, and federal clients throughout the CONUS. Major duties/responsibilities of the position require a working knowledge of and the ability to lead/carry out the following tasks:

Perform facility assessments of buildings, structures, and other real property assets across the building structural/civil/architectural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire protection systems. Work is typically performed in teams of 2-4 assessors with assignments split based on personnel experience and trained disciplines. Conduct inventory and condition assessments of building systems consistent with the UNIFORMAT convention per ASTM E1557. Provide construction oversight and perform construction inspections/quality assurance acting as an owner's representative. Work with a project team to support a variety of municipal, state, and federal projects. Field work on-site in both CONUS and OCONUS on trips lasting 1-3 weeks. Strict adherence to the Tetra Tech safety policies. Other duties may be assigned.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Education & Experience: Candidates shall have a High School diploma. An Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering or equivalent degree from an accredited university is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience. Previous project experience performing infrastructure and facility assessment projects for municipal, state, and Federal entities is preferred.
