Hiring Industrial Maintenance Technicians in Colorado Springs

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment! You'll:

  • Perform preventive maintenance

  • Assist with equipment installations

  • Troubleshoot issues

  • Repair equipment using your mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills

Your goal will be to increase tool uptime through systematic problem solving and quality workmanship. You'll also document all maintenance performed and modify equipment procedures as needed. You'll work on various equipment including:

  • Dicing Saws

  • Epoxy Printers

  • Grinders

  • Plasma Etchers

  • Metal Plate Line

  • RO water systems

  • Tape and Reel

  • Pick and Place tools

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and assist with installations

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills

  • Increase tool uptime through systematic problem solving and quality workmanship

  • Document all maintenance performed in established checklists and tracking programs

  • Create and modify equipment procedures as needed

  • Work on Dicing Saws, Epoxy Printers, Grinders, Plasma Etchers, Metal Plate Line, RO water systems, and various support equipment

  • Potentially work on Tape and Reel or Pick and Place tools

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Essential Skills

Troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic systems

  • Preventive maintenance techniques

  • Handling small electronic equipment components and pneumatic air valve controls

  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and small part fabrication

  • Experience with AC/DC motors, troubleshooting voltages and currents

  • Mechanical motors and valves handling

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and reading schematics

  • Data analysis and reporting skills

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

Additional Skills & Qualifications

AAS in Electronics, BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, or AS/BS in Physics or Math

  • Military experience in a related area of specialization, such as service technician, aircraft mechanic, or automotive mechanic

  • Applicable experience working in a semiconductor fabrication facility

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to properly use common hand tools

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits, fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronics

  • Ability to problem solve and address root causes using schematic diagrams to troubleshoot electronics down to the board level

  • Successfully demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics

  • Flexibility with job responsibilities and initiative to assume added responsibilities

  • Basic PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage time and priorities

  • Valid driver’s license

Work Environment

You will work in a cleanroom environment, wearing a full bunny suit (bonnet, mask, suit, gloves, and booties over shoes). The shift schedule is:

  • Monday to Wednesday

  • Every other week Monday to Thursday, from 7 AM to 7 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
