The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.
The Tracking Architecture Performance Department (TAPD) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision (IPS) conducts, directs and integrates model-based analyses, empowering teams and staff to deliver differentiated and context-informed insights. The department is comprised of 15 engineers responsible for modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of missile defense and space domain awareness architectures, and serves as a center of excellence for the development and assessment of tracking methods that fuse data from diverse sources.The TAPD Associate Directorwill be responsiblefor coordinating across customers and building the capabilities and skillsets in the department to ensure mission success for current and future missions.
Work Model
This full-time position requires 100% onsite work in El Segundo CA, Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
What You'll Be Doing
Partnering with the Department Director to cultivate a vision for the TAPD organization, including identifying opportunities for growth, engaging with customers to facilitate that growth, and developing new areas of technical expertise to meet evolving need.
Guiding the development of MS&A capabilities and products to support decision making for missile defense and space domain awareness architectures.
Fostering the creation of a center of excellence for the development and assessment of tracking methods that fuse data from diverse sources.
Building and maintaininga strong base of customers and collaborators for the department through effective working relationships with colleagues, government customers, teammates.
Creating an organizational culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, developing and maintaining relationships with peer organizations, creating and leading teams of multi-disciplinary analysts.
Coordinating complex technical tasks among customers, managing resources to efficiently staff and execute projects, and ensuring quality and accuracy of work products.
Supportingstaff development through mentoring, and coaching across a national organization.
Working closely with the broader subdivision leadership team to cultivate an effective, efficient, and cohesive national organization.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of applicable professional experience leading technical teamsand coordinating complex modeling and analysis tasks.
Demonstrated strength and experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of space systems.
Willingness tooccasionally travel and/or work off-business hours to support customer needs, approximately 10-25% (as required).
This position requires a current and active TS/SCI clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
