Summary/Objective

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued clients. In addition, you will recommend technical solutions to a varied industrial customer base, support outside sales, and generate quotes. The candidate must have a positive attitude, be a good communicator and have the technical skills to provide timely & accurate solutions to customers' applications. Experience with reading curves, using manufacturers' selection software, and troubleshooting technical problems. Candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver and a positive team player. A candidate with a B.S. in Engineering or other relevant subject.

Essential Functions Sizes & Selects technical products & services, as well as provide engineering information to client base. Prepare cost estimates and quotations by reviewing customer specifications and other related documents. Respond to phone, and email correspondence from customers, manufacturers, and outside sales team. Gain customer acceptance by explaining product application including product features & benefits. Identify current and future customer equipment requirements. Establish personal rapport with customers, principals, and outside sales staff. Submit purchase orders with equipment manufacturers which includes providing technical & commercial information. Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers. Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries. Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customer and suppliers. Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner. Work in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team. Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail. Contribute to team effort by supporting related projects periodically, such as Marketing Campaigns, CRM improvements or Website maintenance. Support other INSCO divisions with application support as needed.

Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering Strong mechanical aptitude
