Job Descriptions:

Sigmatech has an immediate opportunity for an NSSI - Space Acquisitions / Capabilities Development Instructor to Provide instructor support to the NSSI. Support task includes:

  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise on DoD and US Federal Government money management practices, DoD requirements definition process, the science and technology insertion processes and the DoD operations transition process for space systems. Ensure these practices and processes are correctly and effectively incorporated into lesson plans, visual aids, student study material and student prerequisite materials.

  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise on the US space industrial base and emerging space technologies.

  • Ensure the US space industrial base and emerging space technologies are correctly and effectively incorporated into lesson plans, visual aids, student study material and student prerequisite materials.

  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise on past and current DoD space programs in order to support the development of relevant case studies.

  • Ensure these case studies are correctly and effectively incorporated into lesson plans, visual aids, student study material and student prerequisite materials.

  • Develop, maintain, and ad minister all acquisition area measurements to ensure all Samples of Behavior are properly evaluated in accordance with ISD practices.

  • Analyze critical issues surrounding the space acquisition. This involves daily, to weekly, to annual analysis of core Congressional, DoD, Industry, and Government Accountability Office GAO) reports and assessments to capture core issues.

  • Analyze all changes to critical DoD and Service Acquisition regulations Capture unique changes within the acquisition directions (DoD 5000.01, CJCSI 3170.01H, Space Policy/Strategy/Joint Operational Access Concept (JOAC), Capstone Concept for Joint Operations: Joint Force 2020).

  • Analyze each fiscal year budget, covering the overall federal budget, DoD budget, and the impacts to the space related budget areas. This involves reviewing the President’s Budget Request, Congressional testimonies/news releases, and related analysis from space organizations: e.g. Space Foundation and those provided by the Air Force Legislative Liaison POC.

  • Develop, maintain, and administer all acquisitions area measurements to ensure all Samples of Behavior are properly evaluated in accordance with ISD practices and timelines.

Required Experience:

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years of experience in relevant field

  • Master's degree or higher in related field

  • Acquisition Level II or III

  • 3 years experience in curriculum/lesson development and instruction

  • 3 years experience in DoD and US Federal Government money management practices, DoD requirements definition process, science and technology insertion processes, and DoD operations transition process for space system.

  • 3 years experience developing relevant case studies on past and current DoD Space programs

  • Familiarity and knowledge of DoD and Service Acquisition regulations. ?

TS/SCI clearance

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $1150,000 to $125,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
