Nexstar Media Group Director III, Creative Services in Colorado Spring, Colorado

How would you like to live at the base of Pikes Peak in the Rocky Mountains all while creating marketing/branding strategies for two broadcast stations/digital entities?

KXRM/KXTU TV, The Nexstar-Owned FOX and CW affiliates, is looking for a dynamic Creative Services Director to take these two stations to new levels of viewership and community engagement. If you have experience as a strategic leader and can create and execute powerful and compelling marketing messaging that is both emotional and memorable, then you may be the one. Responsibilities include Marketing, Promotion, Graphics, Community Marketing, Commercial Production and Budget Management.

  • Strategic marketing direction and oversight for fast-growing market duopoly

  • Oversee, manage, mentor and lead our marketing and promotion department

  • Collaborate with GM, news department, sales department and local production team on all forms of promotion, image campaigns, station events, profitable events, corporate initiatives, sales production, community affairs and client-sponsored programs

  • Develop working rapport with other local media including radio, social media companies and newspaper

  • Ability to digest and interpret market research into effective marketing plans

  • Conceive, write, produce, direct and edit Marketing and Sales projects for Nexstar Nation

  • Knowledge and fluency with all current digital and social media platforms and marketing techniques

  • Ability to develop and effectively manage department budget, in collaboration with financial leadership

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under extreme deadline pressure

  • Dedication, passion and a strong work ethic are prerequisites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

  • Fluency in English

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Minimum five years’ experience in media promotions

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Experience guiding, directing and motivating subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

  • Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them

  • Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills

  • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment

  • Experience and proficiency with various graphic programs including Adobe Premier, Photo Shop and After Effects

  • COMPENSATION RANGE:

  • Annual Salary: $80k and up, commensurate with experience
