Description
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on PCs, peripherals, and related equipment.
Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
Set up and manage user accounts, including assigning access permissions and ensuring security protocols are followed.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to PCs, printers, and other peripherals.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and support activities.
Assist with IT inventory management, including tracking hardware, software licenses, and warranties.
Implement and support backup and recovery processes for user data.
Collaborate with the IT team to support organizational goals and assist in larger-scale IT projects.
Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices to recommend process improvements.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in PC administration, technical support, or a related role.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and enterprise software tools.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop tools.
Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with hardware diagnostics and repair.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
Experience in an ITIL environment or with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
Familiarity with endpoint management tools like SCCM, Intune, or Jamf.
