Robert Half Vendor Relations Manager in Collegeville, Pennsylvania

Description

Reputable company located within the Philadelphia Suburbs seeks a Vendor Relations Manager with a strong procurement/purchasing/vendor relations or project management background. In this role, you will maintain active vendor projects, track vendor compliance, monitor and update vendor database, evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, maintain strong vendor relationships, and collaborate with internal departments to align vendor services with company needs. This Vendor Relations Manager should be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop long-term strategies to improve vendor performance and reduce costs.

Primary Responsibilities

· Create structure plans, guidelines, and procedures

· Assist with community management

· Collect client feedback and manage development of results

· Research and resolve vendor complaints

· Maintain vendor management system

· Identify risks and trends

· Set sales revenue targets and support strategies

· Communicate with vendors on current and future needs

· Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Requirements

The ideal Vendor Relations Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Vendor Relations Manager role include and are not limited to:

· 3+ years of purchasing/vendor relations/project management experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Strong negotiation and contract management skills

· Knowledge of vendor management software and tools

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
