DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Officer 3, you will be required to maintain an extensive working knowledge of polices, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements as you will be tasked with investigating grievances and disciplinary cases. Work includes conducting fact-finding interviews and PDCs, preparing for union arbitration hearings, as well as providing advice, solutions, and options to supervisors and management concerning labor management issues. You will have the opportunity to act as the drug and alcohol coordinator by providing information to the employee and advising supervisors on proper instructions for employee testing. Additionally, you will serve as the local Unemployment Compensation (UC) coordinator, corresponding with UC representatives, ensuring all investigative material and documents are provided, and attending hearings. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: Upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) 1 to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Collegeville. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth title); or Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
