The Department of Corrections is searching for a Corrections Unit Manager for the State Correctional Institute (SCI) Phoenix. This position is responsible for coordinating and directing the security and treatment programs within housing units at SCI Phoenix. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Unit Manager for the Department of Corrections, you are responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of unit programs for the SCI at Phoenix.

You are responsible for developing and revising unit mission statements, operational goals, objectives, and procedures in conjunction with leadership. You also supervise a multi-disciplinary staff and implement the overall unit program. You provide training, performance appraisals, and professional development for all personnel assigned to the unit, including Corrections Officers. In addition, you manage unit resources and provide input on budget development. You are also responsible for monitoring and ensuring overall unit security and are to be accessible and responsive to the concerns of both staff and inmates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
