Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Coldwater, Michigan

Description

We are offering a part-time, contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit sector, located in Coldwater, Michigan. The chosen candidate will be a key player in our team, ensuring smooth administrative operations and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time role, Monday-Friday, 1pm-6pm. 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact, efficiently managing inbound calls and providing excellent customer service

• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain updated records

• Conduct email correspondence in a detail oriented and prompt manner, ensuring all queries and issues are addressed

• Liaise with external service providers such as vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless operations

• Assist students with various processes including address verification, financial aid assistance, submitting transcripts, placement testing and assessment, academic advising connections, completing learning technology readiness, and registration payments

• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams proficiently to maintain records and facilitate communications

• Schedule appointments and meetings as required, ensuring all participants are duly informed

• Ensure the office is closed securely at the end of the day

• Maintain a detail oriented demeanor and image at all times, contributing to a positive office environment.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook

• Experience in answering inbound calls and making outbound calls

• Excellent customer service skills and experience

• Proven ability in data entry with high levels of accuracy and speed

• Strong skills in email correspondence, able to draft and respond to emails professionally and promptly

• Ability to schedule appointments, manage calendars and coordinate meetings

• Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
