1. Location: Coimbatore

2. Purpose of Position: To Design, develop, analyze, validate and document with detailed 3D models and drawings, various mechanical components and assemblies. Use calculations and simulations (FEA and CFD) to validate designs during the design process. Bridging the gap between design engineering and Operations.

Example : The purpose of this document is to collect, analyze and define high-level user needs and features of the product. Focus on capabilities needed by the target users and why these needs exist. Record details of how the application fulfills these needs in the use-case specifications.

3. Key Responsibilities:

· Develop detailed solid models and drawings (considering DFA, DFM, DFS etc.) by using Creo 3 for dispenser platform.

· Select and specify materials to satisfy design intent while minimizing costs.

· Apply theoretical knowledge of design and mechanical engineering principles to solutions

· Apply GD&T and Tolerance stack ups for designs and use FMEA’s

· Performs Engineering. Change management activities using windchill and SAP

· Validate product performance and safety factors using finite element analysis (FEA) for structural analysis.

· Coordinating with Mfg/ Op’s team for new product introduction and production line support.

· Perform engineering and CFT builds to validate designs.

Skills required (in detail)

• Design of components, subsystem & system level.

• Knowledge of Plastic Materials. Injection molding process.

• Knowledge of Sheet Metal components. Stamping and bending process

• Sound knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice.

• Hands on experience of design calculations for structural components.

• Knowledge of GD&T Tolerance Stack up

• Tool Design-Injection Molding & Press Tool Knowledge.

• Creo 3.0 (Solid and surface Modelling, drawing Detailing, Sheet Metal, Piping) , Windchill and SAP

NPI (New Product Introduction) skills working with Op’s team.
