Position Overview: As the Senior Catering Sales Manager, you will be a driving force behind our social, wedding, and event sales. Your role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our guests while achieving sales goals and fostering long-term relationships. You will be the face of our brand, embodying the luxury and leisure that define the Mayfair House Hotel and Garden.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to attract and retain clients through proactive lead pursuits and existing accounts through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Actively pursue new business both locally and nationally, including visiting new offices and businesses, attending CVB & Chamber of Commerce functions and continually seeking leads that will provide catering business.
Maximize use of all available hotel space to generate food and beverage revenues.
Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences. Provide personalized service to ensure each event is flawlessly executed.
Exceed client satisfaction by anticipating problems and needs and delivering high levels of service.
Conduct post-event evaluations in order to determine how future events could be improved.
Event Planning: Collaborate with clients to design bespoke events, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and ensure all sales agreements and functions contracts entered into with the clients are communicated to other departments to assure guest satisfaction.
Communicate regularly with key wedding planners, social contacts, and other industry support. Establish account information. Call on major contacts (personally or phone) and continually promote the property.
Provide accurate and concise information to all departments with regard to group needs. These documents include Banquet Event Orders, Resumes and Internal Communications.
Maintain proper documentation changes and special requests.
Manages function details to ensure complete satisfaction and repeat business.
Review event bills for accuracy, and approve payment.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities. Identify new business opportunities and innovative ways to enhance our offerings.
Brand Ambassador: Represent the Mayfair House Hotel and Garden at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our brand’s luxury and leisure ethos. Utilize your savvy and hospitality expertise to develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
Assists and works with the Director of catering / Convention Services in successful achievement and implementation of sales activities related to the Catering Sales Marketing plan.

Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner, and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven track record in catering sales, preferably 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel or high-end event venue.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
