Clyde-Savannah Central School District JV Softball Coach in Clyde, New York
Clyde-Savannah Central School District is looking for a JV Softball coach who is interested in furthering the district mission of educating, inspiring, and empowering our learners to unlock their potential in order to meet the challenges in an ever-changing world. This qualified individual will be able to maintain good public relations with students, parents, community, and media. Additionally, they will serve as a positive role model and provide guidance to develop student-athletes physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and culturally. Clyde-Savannah has a rich athletic history, and we are looking for an individual who will assist in honoring that history while bringing growth and development to our current programs.
This is a part-time position
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:
Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students' athletic abilities initially and regularly.
Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions that promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to and keep abreast of rules and regulations set forth by the NYSPHSAA.
Monitor and enforce student academic eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation.
Work with the athletic director on scheduling competitions and coordinating arrangements.
Cooperate with other members of the school staff in planning and implementing instructional goals and objectives for the overall educational development of student-athletes.
Assist in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.
Assume responsibility for compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records, and other documents required.
Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and the local board.
Support, assist, and work collaboratively with our Clyde-Savannah youth and community athletic programs. Additionally, assist in the development of camps, clinics, open gyms, and meet and greet opportunities with players, parents, and coaches within the C-S community.
Job Qualifications
New York State Coaching Certification/CPR, AED, First Aid,
Experience in coaching
Valid driver’s license
DASA and Fingerprint Clearance required.
