Jr./Sr. High Summer Program 2023 : AccelerateU Supervisory and Support Teacher
Planning Dates: June 27 & 28, 8:00-2:00 Effective Date Position Starts: July 10, 2023 - August 17, 2023
Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:45-12:45
Certification/Experience Requirements: Applicants must hold any valid NYS teaching certification. A positive rapport and successful experiences with students in grades 7-12 are essential. Applicants must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, work well within a team, and be highly flexible. Staff will be required to be available for the entire program duration.
Job Qualifications
Responsibilities and Qualifications: Familiarity with trauma-informed practices is preferred. Familiarity with the AccelerateU platform is preferred. Must have the ability to develop relationships, engage, and motivate learners who have faced academic challenges in the past. Must be able and willing to actively engage students in learning through an online platform. Must support students in notetaking and accessing the information within the AccelerateU platform. Must actively engage with the instructors and administration of the AccelerateU program for the benefit of all students enrolled in the program. Must be flexible and willing to work through issues that arise with technology. Must keep current and accurate attendance records. Communicating with parents and guardians is required.
