Position Summary:
Execute the treatment plan for patients set by an occupational therapist in the outpatient rehab clinic orhospital. Monitor a patient's progress to make sure that they're successfully completing treatment.
Encourage the patient during their recovery process. Help patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems. Teach patients with disabilities to become more independent. Update patient records for the Occupational Therapist. Teach patients, family members or other caregivers skills and techniques to help achieve the patients goals. Keep the office, treatment room and equipment in good order.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education Graduate of an approved occupational therapy assistant program with curriculum approved by the AmericanOccupational Therapy Association.
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment. Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Assistant Association.
Required Licenses [North Carolina, United States] Occupational Therapy Assistant and Aide Licensed by North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy.
