About the role: CLA is looking to hire a Retirement Plan Services Advisor. Locations could be in Greenwood Village, Colorado, Bellevue, Washington, Phoenix, Arizona, or Irvine, California. Summary: This role serves as a relationship manager providing Total Retirement Plan Services to their clients. Total Retirement Plan Services is a comprehensive service that revolves around the CLA Promise, to get to know and help plan sponsors meet their fiduciary responsibilities. They are responsible for the growth of our qualified employee benefit services to existing CLA clients and prospects. They are responsible for implementing Experience the CLA Way-Qualified Plans; ensuring proper client segmentation, and a consistent service experience. They have a high level of knowledge about plan design, plan operational issues, and investment solutions. They have a passion for the defined benefit and defined contribution marketplace, as they will be interacting directly with plan sponsors, consultants and other decision makers. Essential Job Functions * Business Development: Networks within CLA family and with external centers of influence to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities. Leads sales process for retirement plan services in office/region, in order to increase plan assets under management. Develops strategic business goals for retirement plan services within office/region. * Client Service: As a relationship manager, serves as the main point of contact for day-to-day needs of client. Serves as the point person for team communication to implement Experience the CLA Way-Qualified Plans to ensure consistent, scalable client experience. Effectively develops and manages team to deliver superior client service to retain client base. Owns client service structure and embraces customer relationship management. * Industry Subject Matter Expert: Leverages technical knowledge of ERISA and other benefit-related laws to grow the business. Effectively communicates trends to internal and external clients and ensure all communications to clients, employees, Wealth Advisors and Principals are consistent with team and firm business objectives. * Practice Development: Embraces and supports vision and business plan for retirement plan services. Assists with development of processes and procedures to execute/implement retirement planning services initiatives. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of eight years (8) of experience in qualified plan design and selling and servicing qualified plans. Working knowledge of ERISA and the IRS laws and a proven ability to integrate TPA services with financial service offerings. Demonstrated experience in participating in building a service team. Education: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Certifications / Licenses: Must have or acquire within 6 months of employment Series 65, 63 and 6, as well as the QPFC designation from ASPPA. A QPA, QKA or RPA are a plus. Technical Competencies: Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Organizational Interfaces: The Senior Wealth Advisor Retirement Services reports to the Managing Principal Retirement Services with an indirect reporting relationship to the Managing Wealth Advisor of a defined Region.
