Job Summary Responsible for providing technical support of the liquid cooling to the key customers in the region locally and a few more major customers outside the region remotely and also partially responsible for the design activity outsourced from the Japan R & D headquarter in close communication with the local customer in the region. Job Description II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides technical support for customer base. Assists customers in interpretation of product specifications and test methods. Makes determination as to product/application problems prior to engineering involvement. Owns customer facing day-to-day communication representing Nidec Liquid cooling design team in Japan Defines action items and manages daily activity with the Japan R&D location(CTL). Writes and implements E.C.O.'s when required. Identifies and maintains a Key Engineering contact list for the region. Periodically contacts the individuals directly. Aggressively pursues sample feedback directly with customer engineering groups. Regularly conducts TRM (Technical Roadmap Meeting) with key customers with full ownership III. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Performs other related duties as required. Responsible for adherence to company safe work practices, safety regulations and good housekeeping. Responsible for adherence to company EEO policies. Provides input to competitive benchmarking database. Submit weekly reports summarizing the key activities and program development status IV. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works from Nidec's America's San Jose office. V. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. VI. POSITION TYPE This is a full-time position. VII. TRAVEL This position requires up to 10% domestic/international business travel. VIII. Requirements Four year technical engineering degree BSE, BSEE, BSEET, BSME, BSMET required or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience with thermal cooling products either in IT/Telcom segments. Must be organized and able to handle and prioritize many tasks. Must be a good listener especially when it comes to the conversation with the customers Strong attention to detail and process. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven success working in a team-oriented work environment. Comfortable to work individually, work with team and collaborate with other functional teams.
