We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team. You will be part of the local team and will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. You will be in charge of Copeland’s SRL financial activities, helping to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

The job is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement (P&L, Balance sheet and other internal reports).

  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly tax declarations.

  • Support and assist in the development of internal procedures.

  • Support and assist in the daily tasks (business travels overview, allocation of costs to correct CC, etc).

  • Support on the preparation of the balance sheet & control reconciliations including investigation of balancing items to clear in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Responsible for AP and AR reconciliations.

  • Support the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare journal entries.

  • Assist in preparation and reconciliation of monthly accruals and prepayments.

  • Assist in the month end process leading to the submission of accurate monthly management accounts.

  • Perform routine accounts payables/accounts receivables tasks fort the local entity.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and/or proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role.

  • 3 years’ work experience for a medium organization.

  • Experience in working with local tax regulations.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience working in a matrix structure.

  • Knowledge of Oracle together with HFM.

  • High level of curiosity, attitude of continuous improvement.
