Description

• Check-in patients. Verify eligibility. Update demographics. Take copays. Hand out paperwork for specific types of visits. Keep a log of payments and payment types.

• Answer phones. Take messages and route them accordingly. Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments based on providers protocols. Call patients to confirm appointments.

• Monitor and work EMR in basket, voicemails, and emails. Call patients to relay messages from doctors, i.e. Patient needs to get labs done and be seen before doctor will prescribe medication refills.

• Must be familiar with insurances, medications, controlled medications, various types of office visits, must know appointment frequency requirements by type of visit. Must be familiar with abnormal BP & Glucose ranges. Must know how to handle emergency type calls.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
