Role Summary:
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Service Technician will be primarily responsible for service in the Forberg Smith assigned territories. Service activities include: Instrumentation startup, configuration and documentation, calibration, trouble shooting, installation review, and problem-solving solutions or systems. Formal technical training from our Manufacturer's will be a part of the required activities, which will certify your ability to competently work on instrumentation and other equipment.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Service Technician position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Field Service
Instrumentation start up, configuration and documentation, calibration, trouble shooting, installation review and problem-solving solutions or systems.
Technical training from Manufacturer's
Documenting installation and repairs
Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment

What you'll need: Work Experience: Field Service Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Technical Degree
Analytics/Computer Skills: Knowledge of software-based hand tools in the industry. Basic PLC and control system design and wiring. Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Office. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic, good verbal, time management and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Cross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a Networking & Services Manager. Work well with others, and ability to explain your work and/or train them on your efforts.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization. Know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects.
