Indium Corporation Shipping and Receiving Supervisor - Clinton, NY in Clinton, New York
JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the shipping, receiving, and warehouse departments. This includes shipping of products, receiving incoming materials, unloading and moving goods, maintaining the warehouse and shipping area, and supervising department staff in accordance with company requirements, customer specifications, and shipping regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
Daily supervision of shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions in accordance with the established procedures
Perform workforce management staffing duties and oversee the workload of staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments
Supervise staff performance, including ensuring appropriate training, assessing competency, conducting performance evaluations, and developing staff
Ship product according to customer specifications and company requirements
Ensure all domestic and foreign shipping regulations are followed
Maintain inventory by conducting/supporting Process Control Cycle Counting program, reconciling variances, inputting data, and maintaining record accuracy
Accurately complete all required documentation using a computer and related software
Ensure proper labeling and placement of warehouse materials in designated locations
Work with production supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse and shipping activities of other functions, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing
Create purchase requisitions up to the level of authority
Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them
Ensure a safe working environment, including following all safety rules, regulations, and procedures
Ensure the shipping and warehouse area is clean and orderly
Obtain and maintain all required shipping certifications for domestic, international, and hazardous shipping• Attend training as needed or assigned • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Basic computer data entry skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Demonstrated experience with domestic and international shipping regulations preferred
Demonstrated experience with hazardous material shipping regulations; HAZMAT certification preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations
A bility to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively and to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently with verbal or written instructions
Ability to teach and mentor
Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products and services
Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

Monday-Friday/ 1st shift - 7:00am-3:30pm/ 34 Robinson Rd., Clinton, NY
WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$20.00 per hour - $32.75 per hour
($41,500 - $68,000 annually)
