Job Description

Our Danfoss Team in Cleveland, TN is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team! This role will manage the receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of warehouse items while ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient handling of material and performance to achieve on-time shipments to customers. Drives a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization. Leads, develops, and mentors employees while providing feedback on a quarterly basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of all employees. Maintain adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.

  • Ensure that adequate equipment is available and implemented safely and efficiently.

  • Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits and employ effective leadership techniques to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for the best results.

  • Counsel and coach employees as necessary.

  • Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements, and process standardization.

  • Assists in the creation of training plans and programs, and promotes cross-training opportunities

Required (basic) qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or

  • 3-Years minimum experience working in an analytical or leadership role within a manufacturing or distribution site.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications

  • CQE/CPIM/CSCP Certification

  • Lean certification
