To develop and evaluate new electrical circuits, communication networks and test systems & processes and improve current process capability, efficiency and overall productivity in all areas of R&D testing in support of the Corporate Win Strategy. Responsible for the setup, programming / troubleshooting of automated test equipment, designing of software tools, fixtures and gauges and determination of process parameters to achieve desired production goals and quality standards.

• Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: • Collaborate with engineers on the requirements for design validation testing, potential design changes, product specifications, serviceability of products and assembly requirements. • Design electrical schematics, CAN networks, and Labview scripts for required testing • Build electrical harnesses for testing • Design CAN communication messages • Troubleshoot as needed, in R&D environment • Set-up, run and inspect engineering design validation tests, • Design of testing systems and fixturing. Maintain, calibrate and set-up testing equipment. • Maintain records and files to support tests, equipment and instrumentation. • Maintain proper communications, administration, discipline and other day to day procedures. • Develop records and maintain proper work instructions for lab in order to maintain required certification. • Maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity. • Self-starter

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline. Equivalent experience in related position of field will be considered • 5-years experience in an engineering lab is required. Experience in electrical and electromechanical testing will be regarded as an additional plus for the position • Strong experience in CAN protocols (J1939, CANOpen) is required • Strong experience is electrical circuit design, with a strong understanding of grounding principles, ground loops is required • Strong experience in Data Acquisition systems is required, • Experience with EMI is preferred • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop testing is highly desirable • Experience with CANAlyzer, LabView or equivalent tools • Ability to write software scripts, Matlab, C/C++ experience preferred • Experience with CAD or ECAD systems required • High degree of electrical and electronics aptitude, including fabrication skills • Experience with high voltage systems preferred • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Ability to perform in a team environment • Computer skills required include Word, Excel and Visual Basic • Familiar with data acquisition software and components • General knowledge of applicable systems
