Position Summary:
Responsible for administrative functions and designated tax projects necessary to support the Vice President of Tax and assist the overall tax department. The Tax Support Specialist will work closely with other tax team members to meet ongoing department needs related to meetings, vendors, filings and other various items.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Operates under broad tax department supervision, reporting directly to the Vice President of Tax. Interacts with corporate executives, administrative assistants and many corporate departments at Parker’s Global Headquarters.

Essential Functions:
Administrative
Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Tax
Prepare monthly expense reports
Arrange travel, transportation and hotel reservations
Schedule and arrange rooms, offsite meetings, catering, etc., for inter-departmental and outside meetings
Prioritize, distribute and route daily mail including outgoing tax return filings as necessary
Organize and maintain tax files and records and department office supplies
Tax/Accounting
Coordinate all department purchase orders and vendor invoice processing
Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other reports/presentations/spreadsheets
Prepare and submit miscellaneous tax reports and information returns under the direction of tax personnel
Assist in responding to tax notices and requests for exemption certificates
Support audit information requests
Maintain tax compliance calendar for all department filings
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree preferred
1 – 3 years’ experience. Prior experience in tax/accounting/finance department preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications is a must
Positive attitude with ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet assigned deadlines
Collaborate with other tax department colleagues in a “team first” environment
Organized and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently to achieve team goals
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and ethical standards
