The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Sourcing Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio

This position is responsible for the strategic sourcing and management of a wide range of Consumer Brands Group (CBG) toll manufactured & private label finished goods. Most of the time is spent in commerce with domestic suppliers and communicating with internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Develop & implement sourcing strategies that are consistent with supporting all Business Unit's operating plans and objectives. Supplier relationship management for all aspects including supplier selection, negotiate and implement supply agreements, negotiating price changes, cost savings projects, service levels of suppliers, and ensuring strategic direction for suppliers' activities with other functional areas of the company (Marketing, R&D, Operations and Supply Chain). The ability to gather accurate data from multiple systems and sources and subsequently prepare, issue and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP's). Raw material and finished good ordering, tracking, and procurement systems setup / management. Monitoring and improving compliance of existing sourcing initiatives. Negotiate and resolve any claims or disputes with suppliers. Assist Marketing, Technical, Operations & Supply Chain in the development and sourcing of new products. This includes managing the accurate communication of all requirements including new product design, packaging, and testing requirements of finished goods. Identify and develop new suppliers. Assisting management with additional commodities/tasks as necessary. Assess supplier capacities and capabilities and works to implement corrective action plans to avoid disruptions in supply. Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of 4 years of post-college experience, preferably in Sourcing, Marketing, Technical, Operations, Supply Chain or another related field. Preferred: Working knowledge of AOM, Business Objects, PIM, Navigator, & Tableau. Experience managing toll manufacturers is a significant benefit. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and Power Point. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced environment. Track record of increasing responsibility with strong preference and focus on cost savings and supply assurance. Project Management experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills. Technical/Skill Requirements: Required: PC Skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) Excellent communication skills, written & oral. Preferred: Ability to lead, influence and gain consensus cross functionally without direct authority. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead meetings and follow up with resulting action items. Strong work ethic and high energy level. Formal Education Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Travel Estimated 20% Upon completion of construction, the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in Q4 2024.
