The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Procurement Trade Compliance Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio
This team supports the global Procurement Operations in the 4 core areas of procurement process, systems, market intelligence and compliance/governance. This role will lead Procurement's efforts to help ensure our compliance with regulatory and trade initiatives. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to the following: Establish, support, and enforce governance processes, policies, and standards to ensure compliance across the global spend. Look for ways to streamline the overall process, as well as reduce costs. Provides procurement support for all legal and regulatory product obligations. Develops and implement strategies to maximize all available trade incentives and minimize tax & duties on direct spend. Monitor Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives and requirements that could affect the company. Communicate developments accordingly and create contingency strategies to mitigate potential impacts. Supports RM supply chain and logistical initiatives aimed to reduce costs and improve service. Provide training and support to procurement teams and stakeholders ESG initiatives and requirements. Collaborate, build, and foster relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams across multiple business units/divisions, including legal, corporate regulatory leaders and subject matter experts, related to ESG requirements. Contribute to the development and implementations of tools and solutions to meet the changing needs of the business. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in applicable field KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 4 years of relevant post college work experience Preferred: 6 years of relevant, post college work experience in Procurement/Sourcing, Trade Compliance, Technical, Operations, Supply Chain or other related experience is desirable. Experienced in global trade regulations, tariffs, duties, and corporate tax is strongly preferred. Must be a self-starter with an ability to work with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced environment. Track record of increasing responsibility with strong performance. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Power Point. Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills. Project management experience.
