Robert Half Sr. Enterprise Data Warehouse Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio

Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Enterprise Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with translating business requirements into data models, developing ETL processes, and designing key reporting artifacts. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for evolving our enterprise data warehouse and empowering business users to access key data.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into a star/snowflake schema data model

• Design and develop ETL processes for data movement and population of the Enterprise Data Warehouse

• Create key reporting artifacts

• Monitor and tune queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity

• Work with IT management to evolve the Enterprise Data Warehouse and develop a strategic roadmap for Data Warehousing and BI

• Empower business users to access key data for reporting and analyzing business information

• Establish and ensure compliance with database standards throughout the entire development life cycle

• Mentor DW/BI staff and provide feedback and guidance

• Plan and lead complex DW/BI implementations

• Understand and apply BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques

• Monitor performance of and tune complex DW and BI processes

• Manage database objects such as databases, table-spaces, partitions, tables, indexes, views, plans, and packages

• Utilize strong Microsoft SQL Server BI stack (Database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) skills Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Enterprise Data Warehouse Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Power BI for business analytics is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in Data Warehousing is essential.

• Must have hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and managing data pipelines is needed.

• Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are expected.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

• A strong understanding of data privacy standards and regulations is necessary.

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
