Your Opportunity
As a Senior Project Controls professional at Stantec, you will utilize your expertise in cost controls, communications, and problem solving in a fast-paced, professional, design and construction environment to mentor and guide other professionals.
This role is remote and can be based out of any city in the United States.
Your Key Responsibilities
You lead and take ownership of the planning and cost control function and ensure integrity of the data being processed
You supervise any supporting roles in the project schedule and cost control area
You prepare recommendations for action, include trends in the forecast, or develop a mitigation program
You liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilization of the project control system based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines
You supervise and participate in cost risk assessment and schedule risk
You interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyze project schedule and costs
You liaise with clients to clarify cost related issues and develop timely and meaningful monthly invoices and for reporting purposes
You prepare project invoices in conjunction with the Accounts Department
You implement financial controls including controlling authorizations of expenditure and cash flow projections
You track and coordinate the progress of the project on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the project is on-track by developing and maintaining detailed product schedules
You prepare budgets in conjunction with client and other team members
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
You have a strong understanding of all phases of project controls.
You have an ability to lead a team through all phases of project control.
You have an advanced understanding of project controls concepts and ability to communicate technical ideas to others.
You have strong presentation skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience is preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
