Millennia Housing Management RealPage Business Analyst (Remote) in Cleveland, Ohio

Millennia Housing Management is hiring a RealPage Business Analyst to join our team. This role will work alongside key stakeholders to analyze and review business processes, specifically within the RealPage software. Main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing as needed. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. The Business Analyst is expected to be able to challenge assumptions in the Business environment, challenging and leading change where necessary.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Set up all settings in RealPage for new acquisitions

  • Work with Financial Services Department providing reports and any other necessary items for set up

  • Responsible for gathering business requirements, creating user stories, and designing scalable, best practice solutions for critical business projects in each property

  • Create detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop, train or enhance company processes

  • Member of RealPage product Committees, attends Conference, & provides voting

  • Involved in major product updates, provides training and implementation

  • Translating, organizing and simplifying requirements: Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose information into details, organize the details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Provide analysis on property report data and digest information for further planning or further action

  • Expert in running all necessary reporting and property data analysis from RealPage

  • Support Fund Accountants with the setup and design of Accounting Automation rules and with use of various Accounting and General Ledger Consolidation Methods

  • The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for leading RealPage technical and reporting projects and ensuring they are passed on to the operations team

  • This position coordinates the efficiency and accuracy of data entered and processed in the RealPage systems and other integrated software programs including accounting and financial data, cash collections, purchasing/payments, leasing systems, customer/tenant information, rent rolls, and operational site system

  • Translates user requirements into functional specifications for IT

  • Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner

  • Complete Software conversion including REALPAGE-Onesite specific changeover and similar software conversion

  • Understand the property management needs of software data base archived and updated information in system(s). E.g. Market Rents; Leased Rents; In place Rents; Loss to Lease and how to revise/refresh/update systems needs entity by entity as applicable

  • Provides user administration and maintenance of all end users of property management software and online learning platform

  • Assist with unresolved issues between PMs (on site) and all the RealPage products

  • Understand the relationship between a property and the reports/data within the Real Page system

  • Understand the reports/data that cover the entire portfolio of properties and provide analysis on all

  • Create information to help implement a system for the acquisitions of properties. Establishing an automated system or process to improve efficiency when a property is first acquired. Working with department heads to combine the necessary components in this system.

  • Understand fundamental issues with RealPage and identifying solutions for Millennia. Conveying those solutions to the RealPage team members to better suit Millennia’s needs.

  • Ongoing Management in relation to the acquisition process or system. This includes pulling department heads or executives together in order to establish an ongoing system.

Required Education and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3 -5 years related experience as a Business Analyst, RealPage experience required

  • Experience with Property Management software, such as One Site or Yardi, is preferred

  • Knowledge of report writing tools is required

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and effectively establish priorities

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with significant ability to communicate at different levels of an organization

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, integrated, and team-based environment

  • Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset to make recommendations and enhance processes

  • Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel

  • Days and work hours are generally Monday through Friday but may require evening and/or weekend shifts
