The Sherwin-Williams Company QUALITY - Plant Technical Services Representative II in Cleveland, Ohio

The Automotive PTS Representative serves as the primary liaison between Global Supply Chain manufacturing facilities and their associated Technical Control Labs in the Global Supply Chain and Performance Coatings Group. - Maintain courteous and prompt written and verbal communication with Technical and Manufacturing at the local, regional and divisional levels. - Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of quality issues by interacting with Technical and Manufacturing personnel, and others as required. - Review and approve new formulas and major reformulations to ensure successful commercialization. - Coordinate, assist, and support test batches and new product commercialization. - Support the consolidation of slow-moving, low volume or obsolete raw material and finished goods. - Lead Continuous Improvement projects designed to improve quality, efficiency, and capacity. - Leverage best practices and implement strategic quality initiatives with manufacturing plants and technical labs. - Participate in the implementation of IT systems and applications. - Perform effective data analysis to support various projects and investigations. Serve as a resource for eliminating obstacles to manufacturing as it relates to quality, productivity and consistency. Lead the qualification of manufacturability for resourced products at the request of the product sourcing group. Submit resourcing requests for non-manufacturable products at the request of Technical and Manufacturing personnel. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status). Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Technical and/or operational knowledge of Manufacturing and/or the Product Commercialization process. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity and enthusiasm for data analysis or statistics. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize appropriately in an exceedingly dynamic work environment. Demonstrated aptitude to work independently but effectively contribute to the team. Ability to assume a high degree of decision-making responsibility. Superior interpersonal skills and a data-driven approach to manage sensitive situations. Proven track record of learning new systems and processes quickly. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or in a Science or Related field Travel Requirements: 25% Upon completion of construction, the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in Q4 2024. Until then, the role will be based at the Warrensville Technical Center, located at 4440 Warrensville Center Rd Warrensville Heights, OH 44128.
