Summary We are hiring for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Senior Living. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you can expect: the ability to build in-person trusted therapist-patient relationships continuing education and tuition reimbursement opportunities independence and autonomy Responsibilities Utilizes equipment in a proper and safe manner, maintains equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning logs, and reports broken or faulty equipment. Follows medical regimen developed for the patient, aware of and adheres to precautions (THR, TKR, Cardiac, Wound, etc.) Utilizes safe treatment techniques including the following: transfers, positioning, feeding, splinting, paraffin bath, cryotherapy, etc. Utilizes treatment approaches according to established PT protocols and policies. Documents each patient visit on the appropriate visit note in the EMR. Documents units of treatment for each visit in the EMR. Serves as a member of the Performance Improvement team Actively participates in Department Team meetings Participates in weekend and holiday rotation as needed Participates in student supervision as indicated Assists in the interview process for new therapy department employees as needed Any other duties as assigned Education and Experience Experience: Less than 6 months License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes CPR certification and all other certificates and documents as required by LHC Group policy. Current Physical Therapy Assistant License in state of practice Membership or certification in national association (as applicable).
