Ohio Means Jobs Cleveland Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a Service Technician or Service Technician Apprentice. Mission: To facilitate growth of Power Technique's Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators. A successful candidate will have strong mechanical skills and/or schooling. Final selected candidate should have own tools or be willing to invest in a basic tool set. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on portable air compressors and dewatering pumps in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors and pumps, determine possible causes, and perform repairs. Test and document proper operating parameters. Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment. Provide high level of customer service. Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Train and assist other service technicians. Promote and practice proper safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), always. Perform other duties as assigned. That's why we have set science-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to lead the transition to a low-carbon society Experience: A minimum of 2 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment is required. 6+ years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment, dewatering pumps (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent is preferred. Education: A High School diploma or GED is required. Electrical and/or Energy Storage certification is a plus. Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical skills. A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus. Willingness to grow within the business. Must maintain a valid driver's license. Travel: This position will travel approximately 20% of the time. The salary range for this position is $22/hr. to $35/hr. based on experience.
