Ohio Means Jobs|Cuyahoga County is sourcing a CNC Operator for a local custom manufacturer of forged, machined, and fully assembled products. First, second and third shifts are available. Position Summary: The CNC operator handles the computer numerical control machine. Maintaining, setting, and adjusting the machine are all part of the operator's daily tasks. This includes knowledge of the software and hardware of the machine. The CNC operator processes materials and performs functions like drilling, cutting, and shaping steel.
Position Responsibilities: · Operate CNC Mills & Lathes
· Read Blueprints
· Measure with standard inspection equipment
· Adapts easily to change in duties
· Apply problem-solving skills in order to detect issues in the process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft
· Deburr and quality check parts
· Obtain certification to drive a lift truck
