In the past few years, younger Americans have brought renewed energy and focus to the reckonings with justice, equity and power. Reckon (https://reckon.news) has been there, covering those movements, issues and perspectives and shining a light on the people in the South and elsewhere.
Now, we’re elevating our work to a national stage, and we’re looking for a newsletter strategist to help us grow and expand our subscriber base for Reckon’s newsletter portfolio (https://reckon.news/newsletters) .
The newsletter strategist will collaborate with Reckon’s editors, reporters and audience team to deepen our relationship with our audience and build community while thinking strategically about ways to use our newsletters to advance Reckon’s editorial and business goals.
Run point on launches of future newsletters.
Help produce, edit and write other newsletters as needed.
Constantly monitor analytics and adjust accordingly to meet our audience growth goals.
Produce reports and give regular feedback to editors and writers on performance.
Work with audience team to target potential audiences and promote newsletters, develop strategy and tactics to grow Reckon’s email subscribers and look for opportunities to create new products.
Follow trends and best practices and advise Reckon team on ways to optimize content for email.
