Description Welcome to Hannah House 3! What a new and exciting opportunity to join a growing team. Hannah House 3 will be opening in October as a medical-surgical unit with mostly medicine patients. The unit will consist of 18 single patient rooms with ability to flex to 22 as needed. As we continue to grow staff will have the opportunity to assist with innovative projects and unit growth. Patient Population: Many different patient diagnoses including: liver disease, pneumonia, CHF, GI bleed, COPD, ESRD, dialysis pts, asthma, sepsis and cancer among others. This positon is part of University Hospitals new and exciting Med/Surg to MAC Bridge Program. Selected new grad RNs who accept a full-time position at the Cleveland Medical Center for our Med/Surg area will be eligible to convert to an RN position within Cleveland Medical Center\'s UH MacDonald Women\'s Hospital after their first year Med/Surg commitment. During your first year in your Med/Surg position, you will meet with a Nurse Manager from UH MacDonald Women\'s Hospital to further discuss your interest as well as shadow. You will also be provided with routine check-ins during your first year to ensure you remain on track to convert to an OB Nurse at the completion of your first year of nursing. The Med/Surg to MAC Bridge Program is eligible in the areas below: Hannah House 3 Description: Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are: 1. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. 2. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. 3. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. 4. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. 5.
