Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Cleveland, Ohio

Maintenance Technician

1st or 3rd Shift

Direct Hire

$28-31/hr + $100 weekly attendance bonus

Cleveland, OH

Basic Role + Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance on automated machinery, particularly filling machines that pump food product into small and large containers.

• Conducting mechanical and electrical maintenance on automated machinery.

• Responsible for a list of PM duties.

• Working from work orders and responding to maintenance calls from operators on the floor.

• Troubleshooting PLCs and reporting issues to the Automation Engineer.

• Reading blueprints and schematics.

• Comfortable working with automation cabinets.

• Performing machine adjustments if necessary.

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing pumps and electrical motors.

• Maintaining and repairing gearboxes.

• Maintaining and repairing conveyors, sprockets, working with chains, gearboxes, motors, pumps, bearings, honing, and removing bearings.

• Rebuilding cylinders.

• Troubleshooting water and air valves.

• Cutting and threading pipes.

• Replacing check valves and basic piping components.

• Wiring motors, troubleshooting electrical issues, checking for shorts, checking for voltage, and wiring panels.

• Working with basic pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

• Working with 480V and 3-phase motors.

• Working with ladder logic, automation cabinets, switches, proxy switches, sensors, inputs, and outputs.

Must Have:

-Experience with 120v-480v and 3-phase

-At least 2 years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience

-Must have experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics

Work Environment

This role is in a very clean, temperature controlled facility. There are openings on 1st shift or 3rd shift available. This facility has about 150 employees, and is a smaller plant part of a large company. Must be open to food environments- hairnets, beard nets etc. This is a contract-to-hire role with a contract period of 6 months. You will have access to Aerotek benefits while on contract.
