Position Overview:
we are is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery across our facility. This position will manage daily maintenance operations, plan preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, and ensure that all equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in industrial equipment & electrical, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Maintenance Team Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed on schedule.
- Maintain Equipment Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, furnace, electrical systems, and other facility-related systems.
- Preventative Maintenance Develop, implement, and oversee a preventative maintenance program to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
- Safety Compliance Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including lockout/tagout procedures & machine guarding.
- Inventory Management Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure equipment availability.
- Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs & purchases.
- Emergency Response Respond to emergency maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues quickly, and minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with Operations Work closely with production and operations teams to understand equipment requirements and ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Education High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills Expertise in electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, and machinery diagnostics. Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is a plus.
- Certifications Certifications in maintenance-related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving Skills Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with the ability to solve complex issues efficiently.
- Leadership Abilities Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a team of maintenance technicians.
- Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with teams and documenting procedures.
- Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and work in varying temperatures, heights, and confined spaces.
