The Sherwin-Williams Company Financial Analyst- International Cost Accounting in Cleveland, Ohio

The 'Financial Analyst - International Cost Accounting' position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team - which holds global responsibility for costing-related functions across our Regions and ERP platforms. The International Cost Accounting team supports GSC Cost Accounting functions for all international regions operating on Oracle R12. This team engages in daily collaboration with local and regional contacts across the GSC division as well as Stores, Consumer, and Performance Coatings Selling Divisions. This team is the primary point-of-contact for Operating and Selling divisions for all aspects of international cost accounting and product costing. The primary focus of this position is specific to international sites on Oracle R12 which include sites in EMEAI and/or LATAM as needed. This position is expected to collaborate daily with operations and commercial divisions to ensure the timely and accurate application of standard costing and to provide analysis/explanations that drive key business decisions. This position will require daily interaction with Merchandise Control, Global Procurement, and Local Plant Accounting personnel. The main responsibilities of this position are: Development of annual standard costs for all raw materials, GOM, and purchased Finished Goods. Development of the mid-year material standard cost update for all raw materials, GOM, and purchased Finished Goods, if required. Development of costs for new product adds. Assistance in testing & go-lives of strategic projects & System Conversions. Completion of improvement projects, adding efficiency and value to the cost team. Month-end responsibilities include, but are not limited to Monthly results and variance analysis for cost concepts such as PPV, Inventory Revaluation, Usage, and Absorption. Journal entries involving material, PPV, and other overhead concepts. Maintaining and managing ('freezing') Oracle cost/inventory calendars. Daily Responsibilities include: Running and monitoring Oracle cost and accounting processes, resolving errors as needed. Ad-Hoc analysis and projects, as needed, at the request of GSC or selling divisions. EDUCATION Required: Bachelors - Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 2+ years of accounting experience. Preferred: Experience with Standard Cost development. Experience with Oracle ERP (OPM and/or Financial), OBIEE TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access Experience with Hyperion/EPM and/or OneStream Preferred: Standard Cost methodology Experience with developing reporting and monthly variance Accounting Experience with OBIEE report development Oracle ERP working knowledge Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
