R10039424 Document Specialist (DOT) (Open) Location: Independence, OH - Rockside Woods Blvd - Management - North BSC How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Document Specialist (DOT) focuses on ensuring the Division's compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) required documentation including: Individual Driver Qualification (DQ) files; Special Permits; Federal and State registrations; driver time records, and roadside inspections all with the goal of being able to produce accurate and up-to-date documents for review in a regulatory audit. In particular, you will: Monitor and audit weekly submissions of hazardous material shipping papers as well asdriver vehicle inspection reports (eDVIR's) and communicate deficiencies. Maintain driver compliance with both personal and company training requirements to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle for current drivers as well as potential new drivers. Ensure all FMCSA Roadside Inspections are maintained and reported and work with the Division to contest possible violations. Maintain all private and common carrier hazardous material shipping papers (other than current month) Provide support and assist as needed with Road Safety questions that may arise within the region. Support the region with Omnitracs ELD software and monitor for hours of service requirements. Lead the annual MVR / Clearinghouse review for all drivers in the region. Provide region customers with annual Tier II letters Track, analyze and report weekly Drivecam reports from the field. Monitor and report Road Safety data. Share trends within the region to proactively improve the Road Safety performance. Additional duties as assigned __Are you a MATCH? High School Diploma or GED Prior experience with the coordination and administration of compliance with DOT regulations and office filing preferred. Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities in a busy environment Working knowledge of Google Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various reports, and regulatory references. Ability to effectively present information to associates, managers and branch personnel. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities. Must be able to discern and explain government (DOT/PHMSA/DHS) regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. May be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time. May occasionally be required to transverse through office and/or manufacturing locations. Employee will be required to observe and assess information received via computer. Requires use of computer and telephone. Occasionally may be required to move/transport up to 10 pounds.
